After about a year of trying to come to terms with the idea that we exist as a system, I think that like. Allowing that part of us to be visible on our blog would be a good step for us.
We won’t post a list of alters here, and we won’t sign off based on who’s fronting unless it’s relevant/someone wants to. We will be up front about the fact that we are an introject-heavy system.
Any questions feel free to ask, but we also reserve the right to not answer any questions lol
i like how in a certain creepypasta bubble, “.exe” is shorthand for The Scary Version Of The Thing. the terrifying executable file
it’s also true when you’re downloading things
i genuinely think “.exe” being a whole genre of creepypasta has done so much to make younger generations be wary of anything they download online that’s like. “youtubevideo.mp4.exe” and that it’s the most effective means of teaching this lesson to them
im sorry but when you grow up and interact with people irl youre gonna have friends where you dont fw their tastes. sometimes youre gonna meet someone chill whos also a hazbin hotel fan or have a really nice coworker that likes taylor swift and youre gonna need to mind your business and shut the fuck up or youre gonna be real lonely
can i post my hot takes about trinity santos that the majority of the fandom isn’t going to like or do we need to wait three years to have a nuanced conversation about her character
six people liked this post and one person commented so i’m taking it as a sign
first things first as a hucklerobby fan: STOP MAKING HER INTO THEIR CHEERLEADER she’s much more than that. also you can have all the headcanons you want but the girl who physically threatened a child rapist and reported her coworker for stealing opiates on her FIRST SHIFT would NOT be ok with an attending flirting with a med student. it’s far too much of an abuse of power and could go wrong in too many ways.
she has far too strong of a moral compass to let that slide. she regularly goes against policy and literal laws to do what she thinks is right. she’s also just. a full three dimensional character and i’m too big of a fan of other characters that get reduced to “big ship cheerleaders” to let it slide.
but this segues into my next point: that’s strong characterization but it also means that people who work in fields with those same laws (mandated reporter, patient/child privacy, etc) (hi i’m a teacher) ARE ALLOWED TO VIEW THOSE TRAITS AS NEGATIVE AND DISLIKE HER.
she’s great as a character. i would hate to have her be my doctor. and we get depth from her in later episodes showing that her abrasiveness is a defense mechanism but also: it’s still a power play. yes she hates people having power over her bc it (likely) makes her feel unsafe. that doesn’t justify her seeking out ways to make people feel bad. it seems like the only way she knows how to interpret the world is hierarchical, and so she immediately establishes one within the student doctors and intern doctors because she wants to feel comfortable. this need for power is likely what drove her to become a doctor in the first place. it’s all about control there. the times where we see her most off her game is when she loses control of something in some way. whether that be a scalpel or her relationship with a coworker, it will throw her off really bad.
thank GOD she wasn’t on the “teen abortion without mom’s knowledge” case. or the “adult teenager with a list of girls he wants to eliminate” case. because the one time she’s on a case where she experiences pushback on a sensitive topic, she breaks a law so bad that it could legitimately get her fired and prevented from ever doing medicine again if anyone were to find out. but people see her and go “cool morally steadfast mean lesbian” and that’s her entire character to them.
i like her as a character /gen. i also expect more from her next season.
